WHO WE ARE

Trails West, Inc. is a working group of volunteers who are dedicated to locating and marking the California Trail from its beginning at the Raft River in southern Idaho to its various destinations in California. While Trails West is based in Reno, Nevada, members live in Arizona, California, Oregon, Nebraska, Nevada, Utah, and Washington State.
Those of us who are members of Trails West come from a variety of backgrounds and occupations. Some of us are retired while some of us are still working. We even have some children in Trails West. Whoever we are or where we live, we share a belief in identifying and marking the California Trail. We also take pride in helping to identify and preserve a small part of the history of the westward migration. Many of us also enjoy experiencing the backcountry while in the company of others who also enjoy "getting away." Since you are reading this web page, you are probably just like us.
